Half Day Studio Workshops with Georgie North

This workshop is open to beginner artists, and previous class participants who will be guided in honing their acrylic painting techniques.

Participants will be guided in selecting subject matter from various sources. This preparation will serve as a foundation for creating unique images, allowing experimentation with diverse methods and techniques. Georgie’s approach fosters an immersive and dynamic atmosphere for artistic exploration, encouraging participants to ask questions, engage in discussions, and build connections with their fellow artists to explore common challenges in the artistic process. 

Bring any source materials such as photos, drawings, books or objects that could inspire your painting.

Use our provided materials or bring your own, including paper, paints, brushes, pencil, eraser, palette and water container. On presentation of your ticket at Arthouse Direct at 114 Buckley Street Essendon, workshop students will be entitled to receive a 10% discount on purchases.

Artist Bio

Georgie North (she/her) is an artist based in Naarm (Melbourne). She studied painting at the Victorian College of Arts, graduating with Honours in 2018. Georgie’s artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia. Selected solo and and group exhibitions include Webbed, NAP, Mildura, Abstracted Landscapes, LON 2020, ABC KINGS Artist Run Initiative, 2019, and Extended Gestures Extended; Five Walls, Footscray 2012.
