What creatures live in and around the Maribyrnong River? If you could be a river creature, what would you be? Let your imagination run wild as you design and construct your very own creature mask using recycled materials, found textures and mixed media. Experiment with shapes, colours and materials to transform your ideas into a unique river-inspired character, then bring your creation to life with a mask you can wear and take home.

Presenter Bio

Fiona Cabassi is an artist and visual arts educator. For the past decade Fiona has presented workshops for children and adults at Heide Museum of Modern Art, McClelland Sculpture Park and Art Gallery and La Trobe University Gallery.  Fiona’s approach aims to enable people to access their inner creativity through enjoyable processes that leads them to surprising and delightful outcomes.
