This exhibition showcases the members of the Essendon Quilters group and the Kilmore Quilters group and their passion and commitment to quality in the art of quilt-making. Works in this display were created from a challenge to create a small quilt using three colours from a pre-selected group of paint chip samples. This activity generated a series of colourful, unique and detailed responses from the quilters to be shared with the community in celebration of this activity.
Essendon Quilters Incorporated is a well-established local group dedicated to fostering the appreciation and understanding of quilting. Their mission is to promote and support the art of quilt-making among their members and the community, as well as to introduce the skills and pleasure of this activity and community to younger generations.
