Jaci’s art explores the relationship she has to the environment, the different elements in nature, the atmosphere, light or simply the beauty. Inspired by certain locations and she is compelled to capture the essence of what she sees and express it through the work.
Iceland captivated Jaci. She felt the power and force of nature in action in this vast and isolated land. She experienced the subtle, eerie silence of windless snow, creeping fogs settling into the depth of a fjord, moss covered volcanic rock carpeted over the lowlands and the rising steam from hot springs juxtaposed against the snow covered mountains. This exhibit explores the beauty and dynamism of Iceland’s landscape.
